Accessibility & Universal Design Training Programme 2020

INTRODUCTION

ASEAN University Network Disability and Public Policy (AUN-DPPnet) is the ninth thematic network for ASEAN University Network. The network is fully funded by the Nippon Foundation, Japan-based at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The AUN-DPPnet aims to contribute to human resource development in ASEAN by building a cadre of disability policy leaders who can help to facilitate the vision of ASEAN.

COURSE OVERVIEW

The program is a fundamental course to acquire the skills of understanding accessibility and universal design. This course focuses on policies and implementation, on how the participant can apply the skill learned in their hometown. The training is based on the access auditor training courses developed from UNESCAP. Lectures, workshops, fieldwork, simulation and case studies are the methods to be utilized in order to gain knowledge and practical hands-on training.
