Accessibility & Universal Design Training/Programme

Introduction

ASEAN University Network Disability and Public Policy (AUN-DPPnet) is the ninth thematic network for ASEAN University Network. The network is fully funded by the Nippon Foundation, Japan-based at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The AUN-DPPnet aims to contribute to human resource development in ASEAN by building a cadre of disability policy leaders who can help to facilitate the vision of ASEAN.

Course Overview

The program is a fundamental course to acquire the skills of understanding accessibility and universal design. This course focuses on policies and implementation, on how the participant can apply the skill learnt at their hometown. The training courses developed from UNESCAP, lecturers, workshops, fieldwork, simulation, and case studies are the method to be utilized in order to gain knowledge and practical hands-on training. 

The duration of the program is 22 days from 26th January to 16th February 2020.

Who should attend

The participants are Person with Disabilities from ASEAN countries who are Academics, Tutors, Self-Employed or Working for an Organization, Government, Agencies, and Businesses who intend to be an Access Auditor.
