The ASEAN University Network – Disability and Public Policy Network (AUN-DPPnet) was established in June 2016 as the 10th thematic network under the ASEAN University Network. The network focuses on advancing disability-inclusive public policy across the ASEAN region.
The University of Malaya serves as the Secretariat of AUN-DPPnet, with financial support from The Nippon Foundation of Japan.
AUN-DPPnet is committed to building a cadre of disability leaders and experts who will help shape an ASEAN community that is inclusive, barrier-free, and rights-based. These leaders aim to influence public policies that directly impact persons with disabilities across ASEAN and beyond.
Vision

Mission
Uphold the dignity and rights of persons with disabilities
Promote equitable access to development opportunities and programs
Foster legislative advancements for the full participation of persons with disabilities in society
This mission aligns with the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Incheon Strategy, advancing inclusive development throughout the ASEAN region.
